Traditional Mexican Ornamental Molinillo – Handmade Beige (15cm) | Pre-Order
Handcrafted in Mexico by Maestro Juan Alonso Rodríguez
Please note: This 15cm molinillo is sold as an ornamental/decorative piece and has not been tested or certified by us for food-contact use.
A Piece of Mexican Cacao Tradition
Each of our 15cm molinillos is individually handcrafted in Mexico by Maestro Juan Alonso Rodríguez, a skilled artisan helping to preserve one of Mexico’s most recognisable cacao traditions.
Every piece is carefully turned on a wood lathe, hand-finished and individually detailed. Natural variations in the wood grain, shape and finish mean that no two molinillos are exactly alike.
The molinillo has been used in Mexico for generations in the traditional preparation of cacao and hot chocolate. Traditionally, it is rolled between the palms to aerate the cacao and create its characteristic frothy finish.
Our compact 15cm version celebrates this distinctive traditional design and the craftsmanship behind it, making it a beautiful addition to a cacao collection, kitchen display or ceremonial space.
Handmade in Mexico
Each molinillo is individually crafted using traditional woodworking techniques. As a handmade natural-wood piece, slight variations in colour, grain, carving, dimensions and finish are completely normal and form part of its individual character.
