Ceremonial cacao has become a buzzword, but what does it really mean? Is it a special variety of cacao or something "energetically blessed"? In truth, there’s no single definition. It’s not a certified label, but rather a concept rooted in tradition, intention, and sustainability. Originating in Mesoamerican ceremonies, cacao was revered as a sacred plant, connecting people to nature, spirit, and community.
Today, authentic ceremonial cacao is minimally processed, grown in harmony with ecosystems, and often cultivated by indigenous communities who honour the land. Unfortunately, not all products labeled "ceremonial" meet these standards. At Nature’s Joint, we source cacao with care, respecting both ancestral wisdom and the earth’s ecosystems.
